SAA TACTICAL WITHDRAWAL; ISIS TRAPPED! RUSSIA SWARMS OVER PALMYRA; NO CIVILIANS IN THE CITY; ALL EVACUATED TO SAFETY AS SYRIAN ARMY MOUNTS A MASSIVE COUNTER-ATTACK; ARMY CONTROLS 98% OF ALEPPO

القيادات الميدانية في تدمر تتخذ قرارا بالانسحاب من وسط المدينة والانتقال إلى محيطها

After blunting every attack by the terrorist rodents supplied, trained and financed by Britain, America and Saudi Arabia, the high command of the Syrian Army in consultation with its Russian counterpart has played a trick on the invading vermin.  With new terrorists arriving from Al-Raqqa and Dayr El-Zor to supplement the 3,800+ rats, the force proved to be capable of dislodging the SAA from the city of Palmyra by the mere threat of inflicting casualties.  Once again, the Syrian Army has used a withdrawal tactic in order to envelop the enemy inside an area.  Be advised that no civilians remain in Palmyra.  They have all been evacuated to safe areas to the west.  Now, the Russian Air Force is free to conduct unfettered operations in areas where civilians once lived.  The terrorists miscalculated.  They thought that they would nest in areas with a large civilian concentration.  Since the Russians religiously avoid bombing sectors with civilians, that prohibition has been removed.  In just 24 hours, the RuAF has flown 64 separate aerial missions bombarding the terrorists’ positions.  The SAA, for its part, has taken up positions around the city using artillery and snipers to keep the terrorists in a static posture.

As of today, the combined Syrian and Russian forces have killed well over 300 vultures, destroyed 11 tanks, 4 armored cars and 31, I repeat, 31 pickups with 23mm cannons.  If this attrition continues,  and especially since the terrorists are exposed, there is not chance they can continue their presence in Palmyra for more than 1 week.

We discussed, yesterday, the obvious connection between Obama’s miserable performance in Aleppo, and his desire to either distract the army or advance the cause of terrorism.  Whatever the case may be, Obama is on his way out, and this is his last hurray, assuming, arguendo, that he is really in control of his own government.  To some, it seems as though he has tuned out leaving all the decisions to other criminals in his junta.

The Russian and Syrian air forces have struck a massive blow against ISIS as it tried to resupply its rats inside Palmyra last night.  A convoy passing through ‘Uqayrabaat in Hama Province, carrying weapons delivered to them by the Jaysh Al-Fath was reportedly annihilated with a necklace of fire extending on  Highway 45 to Palmyra for miles on end.  Once again, loyal Syrian citizens warned the army about the large convoy and action was taken immediately.  With rodents inside Palmyra openly complaining about the reduction in their firepower, it seems that unless they can find a corridor through which they can sneak supplies, their fate in Palmyra is sealed.

NOTE TO READERS:  There is no point in mentioning the widely broadcast news that the Syrian Army now controls 98% of Aleppo City.

Just to clarify the position of the US in relation to the massed attacks on Palmyra and Deir ez Zor, the US used bombers to blow up telecommunications towers between Raqqa and Tadmur in order to hinder SAA communications. This was done 3 days ago, ie at the start of the main onslaught. The US – the ‘carefully vetted moderate’ USAF, not the ‘extremeist’ CIA – is indubitably and totally behind these attacks by ISIS.

Don’t blame Russia, Blame Syria bud, it is Syrian military incompetence at play. .
Let me get this , So they liberated Palmyra for like three times now but lthey left it insecure and with a large Ammo and weapons to boot? Gross incompetence. Lets call it what it is.

in his Youth Sun Tzsu beheaded 1000 concubines of the Prince of Wei to prove his point that when Troops fail to perform it is not the troops fault it is a leadership problem , 2500 years later and the Syrian military hasn’t learnt that lesson.

Just to be cynical, but you could argue that the withdrawal of the SAA across the entire country was also a cunning plan to lure in ISIS to its inevitable defeat. Every reverse and retreat can be spun in such a manner. Far better to admit it was a defeat and then get on with the job of making sure it doesn’t happen again, e.g. no messing about with ceasefires that prolong other battles on other fronts (hint hint); finding out how Russian surveillance missed 4000 head-choppers and their equipment gathering for a fight (I’ve yet to a convincing explanation… Read more »

The Russkies are masters at tactical withdrawal. Their enormous landmass makes it a smart and very effective tactic and has served them well for centuries (aka Napoleon, WWII). It appears the Syrians have learnt this tactic well. Why waste men and resources holding position when you can simply withdraw, suck the enemy further away from their supply lines, then hound them from the surrounds as they sit exposed in well-known positions? The SAA know their own country well and have had plenty of time to prepare. The attacking forces are harder to pinpoint and spread out while attacking an entrenched… Read more »

Even with a terrorist attack, the strategic position can not be changed and I think Syria is still expecting an Israeli invasion to take Damascus and have most of their troops around there. I think you can look at it this way, an Israeli attacking using a couple of divisions and surrounding Damascus would cause Syria to surrender its capital and loss of the entire country except the latakia area…. In essence the so called war would be over.. From what I have seen upto now, nato is trying to pull these reserves around Damascus to other fronts so a… Read more »

The terrorists could not hold their vulnerable flank in as Sukkari, it was wide open and defensive lines collapsed very fast during the day, they retreated to Tall az Zarazir.
We are looking at the very few days of terrorists in Aleppo, they have no presence in the old downtown area, zero presence in the eastern side, and are mostly in a very tiny area in the western side only.

Bustan al Qaser and Khallaseh are on going to be declared liberated soon, huge advance today.

Last stand may be somewhere between Ardh as Sabbagh, Tall az Zarazir and al Ansari.

This may be a rerun of the takfiri breakthrough August/September in south west Aleppo shortly after the northern gap was closed. The takfiris tried to rush masses of weapons in through the gap, exposing their extended supply routes which were methodically destroyed by the RuAF and SAAF. The southern gap was then closed by the SAA leaving those trapped in the cauldron with little hope of resupply. The same open extended supply routes apply around Palmyra, although the dumps from Palmyra will minimise impact in the short run. Providing the weather remains good for flying, the supply lines will be… Read more »

Both sides have hostages. That is what the talks are all about. And trading positions and assets. Since the US has a lot more assets in Syria the Russians are in a much weaker position. That the Russians allow the US to extract their assets and hostages out shows the Russians consider tactical victory and saving lives are more important than short term media sensations. 1. From what I am reading on Twitter from various sources including the likes of Syriangirl and others, Palmyra has indeed fallen. 2. Palmyra may have been bait to lure more Wahabists in to one concentrated location and then physically eliminate them, rather than keep them safe and separated here and there. Superb article from Moon of Alabama as usual. Here are some excerpts:

“Winning back the economic capital of the country, a city which the Turkish wannabe-Sultan Erdogan wanted to capture and incorporate into his neo-Ottoman empire, is the biggest victory the Syrian government achieved in this war. The whole area retaken in and around Aleppo is some 18,000 square kilometers – that is a larger area than the whole countries of Qatar or Lebanon.”

Do not worry yourself, Palmyra being taken means keeping it! Who else can keep Palmyra if not SAA. The Russians knew ahead, it is an opportunity to get them together and finish off, this is also cheaper. The greatest battle is Aleppo and is won by SAA, every other one is a side show. The terrorist supporting US and it’s allies factored this and gamed the outcome to closely determine the timing of the collapse. This Afro-Yankee Wahabist convert made a brave, stoical speech to his leaders – Peace on you guys but you blew it. I could not help noticing the sad, sad, look on his face after that brave farewell. Reminded me of some born-again Christian sheeple, so childlike, so trusting, so easily misled into destructive mass behaviour.

Syrian government army's dominance in Aleppo brings prospect for Syrian issue settlement

http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/2016-12/11/c_135896997.htm

The falling of the rebels in the key battleground marks a crucial juncture in the course of Syrian war, with expectations that the recapture would help to change the whole prospect of the prolonged crisis in the Middle East's war-torn country.

and so what if Syria executes them ? They are not Soldiers they are terrorists they have no claim to the Geneva conventions articles of war so they have no claims to the treatment of prisoners of war, they are criminals fighting in a foreign land and the Syrians ones are also guilty of treason , treason is punishable by death in almost every country. I say kill the fuckers , stop pardoning them and allow them to keep their personal weapons so they can fight another day.

What a chaotic weekend, good news, as well as bad. This attack on Palmyra is the Western Axis of jew led Evil’s death rattle. This will be the last force of any considerable size they would be able to muster. Once they are dealt with, it will also be harder for them to recruit more man, as they will know that there will be no coming back. So far a lot of stupid people have died, and you know stupidity is infinite. but money can only buy so much stupidity, it has its limits in that regard. The Western axis… Read more »

We are all thrilled due to the imminent & definitive master victory in Aleppo, and upset with setbacks in Palmyra, this is how war looks like, sometimes from small setbacks a bigger resolve is born. After Aleppo the game will be wide open, ISIS may have gone too far this time, they will lose their presence in east Hama and Homs due to this attack into Palmyra.
Russia accuses the US of guiding ISIS and supporting it in moving the terrorist in the attack.

I could always come here and feel that somewhere in the world the light is getting brighter. Times are a changing, and it is fitting that Syria has helped close a chapter of evil that had fallen on the land. May Syria be a beacon of righteousness and compassion long into the future.

So now that most militants have left Aleppo or are on their way out, I’ll be curious for a post-battle analysis. The SAA would have kept records of movements surely. I wonder what the actual numbers are. How many in total left Aleppo alive? How many were killed? What’s the breakdown of Syrian vs Foreign? How many pardoned Syrians vs unpardoned foreign rats left Aleppo? And where did most of the unpardoned ones go to? Its important to keep crushing Idlib terrorists and not let allow them any respite. ThomasT, I agree. Reading British newspapers and novels from before 1939, I was nauseated by their praise of “Herr” Hitler and “Signor” Mussolini. We built up Hitler as “our bastion against Communism”. We gave him CzeckoSlovakia and expected him to invade Russia. We started to demonize him only when he turned and bit the hand that fed him: attacked FUK instead of attacking USSR. From then on, like a rabid dog that has bitten his master, Hitler could expect no quarter from the Capitalists of FUKUSA. Don’t you realise he claims the total Nazi CC death toll to be 271,301? That is a lie and slap in the face to the victims, be them jewish, gipsies, catholics, communists, members of the resistence or POW. May be he is just an ignorant know-better, but you should know better and should not try to put honey around his mouth. Hitler was a monster and a crazy, irrespective of his depiction by the opportunist West, and that’s all that matters, period.

But those distorting parallels between what is going on now and what happened during WWII follow an agenda of their own. This cannot be ignored. @Farty: I noticed his figure for deaths in the Nazi concentration camps, and thought it was absurdly low. However, since EU law has made it a criminal offence to investigate this matter, I no longer believe anyone’s figures for that particular war crime. The 1% who rule the West have deliberately moved that subject into their Post-Truth Era. However, the pre-Post-Truth era can supply some comparable figures of prisoner deaths when the British Empire overran the Free Republics of South Africa, and set up the first concentration camps of the 20th century. 2 Things, the victims in the CC left with their captors to Berlin by force marching and half of them died on the way. Those who were too weak to travel stayed behind and the guards and doctors stayed with them, they were executed by both the US and Soviets. Do you think you would go with those killing you? Or would your killers stay behind to treat you and keep you alive? There are instances of camp commandments being tried and executed for mistreatment of prisoners. Avat, you are wrong on Dunkirk (and many other things, for that matter). The tanks were held only two days, from May 24 to 26, due to a tactical evaluation of Rundstedt. The tanks resumed attack on the 26th, once the Germans understood what the Brits were up to. But those two days were enough to harden the pocket defenses. The total evacuation of the BEF, despite a full German air and ground assault, proceeded up to its completion, on May 2. Actually, Hitler had relatively few concerns with the fate of the BEF (apart from saving its forces from… Read more »

The US tried to delay the final SAA assault in Aleppo so they could air drop their SAS units to take the Russians hostage in PALMYRA. Once that op failed the battle was decided. Same MO as in Libya. Guess the Russians had studied the Libyan op and figured it out just in time. The US was also providing air cover since the other side stays out of the are corridors where an op was taking place and the US was bombing tankers in effect making sure the Russian bombers stayed out of the area and dont bomb the reinforcements… Read more »
