PALMYRA IS NEXT ON THE MENU; SYRIAN ARMY MASSING OVER ANCIENT CITY; RATS STARTING TO ABANDON POSITIONS

الجيش

HOMS:  Due to the unexpectedly swift and successful campaign in Latakia Province, my sources are indicating that a large pullout from the region is taking place with almost everyone telling me they are headed for eastern Homs to liberate Tadmur (Palmyra).  While Iranian trained forces remain to the east of Slinfeh numbering around 20,000 men, the Syrian High Command has, evidently, opted to concentrate forces on ISIS in the east as that organization starts to fall apart.  We are affirming that ISIS has lost close to 50% of the territory it formerly occupied in Syria.

As I write, the untenable presence of ISIS in Palmyra is becoming very obvious from the transfer of hundreds of rat families to the northeast into Iraq.  The ISIS terrorists are expecting a major assault which has resulted in furious buildup of revetments and fortifications especially along the southwestern part of the city.  In the meantime, the Syrian Army and its allies have drawn very close to the ancient theater in Palmyra at Tallat ‘Areen which was liberated yesterday by a combination of aerial assaults and stubborn infantry operations killing scores of ISIS rodents.

Thaniyyat Hayt (a “thaniyya” is a narrow pass), Thaniyyat Rasheed, Jabal Rawaasi Al-Tiwaal, Tal Kurdi, have all been liberated as of last night.

Rawwabi Al-Taheen – Mahassa Axis:  In extremely violent battles, the SAA destroyed a tank stolen from the Iraqi army.

Jabal Jubayl: Overlooking Al-Qaryatayn, it has been liberated and SAA engineers are dismantling IEDs.

Palmyra:  SAA has confirmed killing a leader of ISIS:

Taahaa Al-Dandashi (a/k/a “Abu Muhammad Al-Lubnaani, LEBANTEEZIAN COCKROACH)

well, now my comment. I am surprising about Deir Ezzor: a group of men encircled for quite a year, in the edge of the enemy’s field, how can not only stay resistant but also going to the assault and counter offensive? I think people of the city come to fight and the general Zahreddine can go outside the town becouse there are armed people able to stop the enemie’s assaults. Is it true or it is only a my opinion? I have no source. I ask too if any knows, what is now the situation in Kabane in Latakia? Thank… Read more »

I worked in Syria with my uncle. He was a great workers and interested only in pumping stations, electricity and foundry. Never we stop to see anithing if not such technical things. But a day, driving along the higway to Deir Ezzor, we passed not from north as usually, but from the south, so we pass to Palmira. As he saw the old city, he stopped the car suddenly and looked astonished with no words quite a full minute. After he ordered “No work today!” so we stay half day there visitig the most impressive site never seen before. Go… Read more »

Very good progress by the allies and interesting shifts in dynamics from front to front.
I particularly enjoy the bafflement by the prescription pill-popping psychopaths in Washington.
Greetings from Addis the home of the one and only Field Marshall Emperor Haile Selassie I who warned the silly yanks about this outcome of their empire in his Christmas message to the American people.
May God bless the brave defenders of Syria.

May the Spirit of Queen Zenobia overshadow the Valiant SAA and may their deeds be Quick and Terrible like their Mighty Mentor Vladimir Putin whom I believe was Saint Vladimir of old.

1. With the what-looks-like imminent fall of Palmyra (Tadmoor in Arabic and which Ziad refers to himself too) it’s basically Ar-Raqqah and Deir az-Zour left in the not-so-important Syrian east. I read somewhere else that now 90% of Syrians are under government rule, barring some unimportant desert areas “controlled” by ISIS (CIA outfit) and a few small towns such as Palmyra and Raqqah. 2. People must turn their minds back to how a few weeks ago on this blog less so but on another blogs e.g. Saker people were worrying about a Saudi invasion of Syria including trying to grab… Read more »

Luca and others please read this interesting thread on Brazil: http://defenceforumindia.com/forum/threads/protests-across-brazil-put-more-pressure-on-dilma-rousseff.75995/ I just hope that the US does not destabilize Brazil as they did with their “Arab Spring” stuff in the middle east which has led to civil war in Libya and Syria. I think Brazil should ask China, Russia and Iran for some sort of support, some action which will frighten the US in to backing off from “regime change” in Brazil. 1. Joint Chinese-Russian air patrol from Cuba, Nicaruagua or Venezuela to intimidate the Americans. 2. A statement that China, Russia are watching events in Brazil and support… Read more »

Way to go Syria. The battles fought in Homs and Der ez Zor can change the Syrian map up side down, though mostly desert, it can disrupt routes and connectivity for ISIS between Syria and Iraq, it will be hell on earth for ISIS once Palmyra and Zor is connected. Near Palmyra, another battle is hardly fought, the mostly Christian town of Qaryatyan is probably living the last few days with ISIS occupying it. The latest gains around mountains and hills are giving the allied forces the upper hand to descend upon the city with little to hold for ISIS… Read more »

I can’t wait for the SAA Military Intelligence to give the Qatari Royal Palace (aka ISIS hq) a good going-over once the takfiris have been dealt with.

ISIS is relocating to Iraq and Libya (which is fast becoming another ISIS outpost). Algeria and Egypt will soon feel their wrath for not having played ball with the pro-ISIS crowd.
Russia foresees this threat and is ramping up military aid to Algeria while strengthening military ties with Egypt. The cancer has been extirpated from Iraq and Syria to unfortunately metastasize in N. Africa.

Keep Faith and Trust in the SAA!

Thank you Ziad. I pray for swift and safe, (as safe can be in war) success of SAAF liberation of Palmyra. Hopefully the rats wont have time to destroy any more of the history of this ancient city. May it be spared from further harm like Paris was in 1944. Next up, to break the siege of Deir Ezzor. Perhaps the advances by SAAF in Deir Ezzor are a result of continued air strikes and a removal of rats to bolster other crumbling fronts. It certainly has them looking over their shoulder. I attached an interesting article from Voltairnet. More… Read more »

1. Two years since Crimea was re-united with mother Russia. A major humiliation which the US could not stop. 2. US having failed in Syria is now moving it’s CIA controlled ISIS road show to Libya. However Russian allies Egypt and Algeria both border Libya and will not allow things to degenerate too far there. 3. The American war against Brazil continues with the judiciary in cahoots with the pro-American elite. From a comment in a Guardian article, http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/mar/18/brazil-judiciary-democracy-sergio-moro-impeach-dilma-rousseff: “Judge Gilmar Mendes of the Supreme Court who ruled yesterday that Lula cannot be appointed a minister in PT’s government was… Read more »

ENDING MY DAY WITH A LAUGH (or should we say ‘barf?’) First Obama, now Erdog-doo!! An American humanitarian aid organization awarded Turkey for its “tireless advocacy” for the Syrian people, of whom 2.7 million have been hosted by Turkey over the last five years. Commemorating the sixth anniversary of the Syrian war, the non-governmental American Relief Coalition for Syria awarded Turkish Ambassador in Washington DC Serdar Kılıç at the organization’s third annual dinner, followed by a fundraiser for the Syrian people. With the message that Turkey’s efforts “have not gone unnoticed in the Syrian community”, Kılıç was invited to the… Read more »

Some actions in different fronts then Homs Province today : 1) Fierce fight in a what appears a SAA/NDF offensive in Hama toward Qantara, this is nusrat land west of Salamiyah. Few months ago the NDF liberated over a dozen villages SE of Hama city. Should it be successful, it would remove a huge pressure from Salamiyah and pave the way to a major reconciliation on all Hama, currently blocked by nusrats all over it. https://twitter.com/islamicworldupd/status/711479527202017281 2) ISIS is attempting to attack Sheikh Najjar industrial sector, this is well defended area. Unfortunately the allied forces did not manage to push… Read more »

The situation in Turkey is going downhill very quickly :

1) the last Istanbul bomb was linked to ISIS,
2) huge military effort in eastern Turkey against the local kurdish population, a civil war it is,
3) police state in many cities throughout Turkey, see video below from Adana when a police jumped out of the armored car and start shooting.
https://twitter.com/konursokak/status/711522198775832576

It is hard to believe Merdhogan will be able to hold the country united under this tremendous internal pressure, collapsing economy and the tremendous snowball effect of the tourist industry disruption. The violence will spiral out of control soon enough in central/western Turkey.

Fight SW of Qaryatayn city, should it breakthrough the initial defenses, ISIS will have no other chance than retreat or die there, the city is not large, it is flat so not defensible inside it. We may have good news on this front today or tomorrow.

Given my usual late arrival on this page I offer another snippet of the hot intel from Thierry Meyssan — ”Fighting inside Turkey on the level of a civil war is expected to begin during April. The beginning of the end for Erdogan will transform the entire Middle East situation. Most of the larger cities in Syria will soon be free of terrorist rebels. This is likely to include Aleppo, Palmyra, and Idlib. ISIS/Daesh will only be able to maintain their presence in Raqqa in far northeast Syria, as well as in some parts of Iraq. It is expected that… Read more »
