It’s been a long time. Actually what got me to research and follow events in Syria were reports from Jobar by Anna-News. Good to see it come to a an end. I Hope Zamalka will be liberated soon too.

YEss!!! I’ve been desperately waiting to hear this for the last 2 years! And finally, we are at this point in time. I couldn’t contain my excitement upon hearing this news.
It’ll be a glorious and joyous occasion, for the SAA, for Syria, for president al Assad, and humanity.

I wished Syria had got it’s hands on UR77 2 years ago.
It is also already time for Iran too to supply Syria with all the modern technology like Modern high flying drones, Precision Guided Ammunition, and Radars and mines and all other stuff.

If Iran/Russia now hesitate or take time in delivering modern weapons, then US is going to use ISIS more and more in Syria and the war will prolong.

I can’t help but to link the two things: some days ago appears a video of a SAA UR-77 “Gvozdika” (mine clearing vehicle which seems fit also for tunnel/bunker bustering from what I see) for the first time since the conflict in action in Jobar. The explosion is huge and the damage is greater than it might looks from the footage (it does uncover a vaste network of tunnels that become unusable point blank for rats hiding there) and allows SAA an almost immediate penetration through militants defence lines. They had to withdrawn as the pressure had become unsustainable. Probably… Read more »

Anon, I tend to agree both are linked, the new tech stuff is making the difference in urban warfare, the UR77 is not new tech for Russia but it is for Syria and the use of it among other new weapons in Jobar had made all the difference in the final push. We had seen between 3-4 new weapons used in Jobar, UR77 is the most visible one, but others were used and we do not know the source of it, some multi-head missiles that land like small chuts creating deadly explosion in a vast area and few other beauty… Read more »

After the fall of Aleppo and the liberation of E-Ghouta , the resistance can expect the opening of a new frontline by the enemy. Either by Turkey or by ISIS in Lebanon.

Turkey “allows” the training of “terrorists” well noting new here 😉 I wonder if Syria can work with parts of the Kurds. I mean Turkey will not let them pass to Kobane. One can now sit and wait until the Kurds there are wipped out or put pressure on the ISIS from another front. I guess Al-Bab, Manbij, Deir Hafir and Maskanah are important for the ISIS supply lines. Why not try to make a deal with the Kurds in the Afrin area? SAA need to free up Nubl and Al-Zahraa and the Kurds need to find a way to… Read more »

kurds are untrustworthy opportunistic flip flopper’s,Assad asked them to join the fight and they refused selfishly only to stand there own ground and they started making deals with turkey and selling them oil etc and now they get back stabbed by them, they keep making stupid mistakes like these that is why they suffer, instead of remaining loyal as Syrian’s first they play games with both ends, instead of asking the Syrian gov for help they are actually asking turkey of all ppl to help them and as such welcoming the violation of Syria’s sovereignty, they are no different than the traitors of… Read more »

why be sorry about agreeing with some facts? ty for that,,I will add that when I refer to Kurds it would be the same as I were referring to americans, not necessarily the majority of them are the way i describe, mostly the leadership and military wing and whomever from the civilians follow such mentalities,,I still want the best for there saefty and do hope that the SAA and SAF will eventually rescue them,it would be a very good strategic move for Assad to do so fast while making erdoggy and obomba look like shit and further dismissing some of there there… Read more »

It is more likely that a big push will come from the Hasaka-Qamishli area. It is easier to collect Kurds forces (PKK, YPG and Iraqi Kurds, maybe some from Iran) because the Afrin region is itself isolated. Then Kurds could sweep along the Turkish border and SAA from Qamishli, Deir ez Zor and Aleppo. But that would need a lot of forces. Probably before IS must be leveled down on all fronts by guerilla warfare (Kurds, including in Turkey!) and by SAAF (cannot rely on USA). Strategically IS did something stupid because the Kobane region will be attacking ground against… Read more »

Just read this.”””Meantime, Turkey agreed on Saturday to allow the training of at least 2,000 Syrian opposition fighters on Turkish soil by American and Turkish special forces, Turkish officials said, as the ISIL militants came closer to capturing the Syrian city of Kobani.”””

It’s so obvious that the States are caught between a rock and a hard place with a clue less administration leading that country.

today it was revealed that Iran’s foreign ministry had warned US that Israel’s security could be in jeopardy if the US/coalition forces attack Syrian army forces. I am neither Iranian nor Syrian, however I think Iran is the best friend any nation in the world can ask for. I mean here is a country with huge problems of it’s own that has been subjected to an all attack by the most powerful forces. The easy way would be to make some sort of a deal and walk away with gains of some kind or other, I promise this is what… Read more »

Great news Z….this is a kick in the teeth for the cannibals and their sponsors.Any idea of a time frame when the western sponsored madness and terror in Syria will end ? Totally amazed at the resistance and endurance of the Syrian people and valiant SAA after all they’ve endured.Really love to see this over by Christmas as well as Hague,Cameron and Obama swinging from the gallows for their murderous intrigues in Syria.People around the world, especially Europe, who are enslaved by the criminal political/financial system should use Syria as an example of what resistance can achieve against their zionist controlled prostitutes.
