This is the current situation in nothern Iraq. The Iraqi government forces, Kurdish Peshmerga and shiite volunteers of the southern countryside in Iraq are all engaged in the battle against ISIS. Troops loyal to the government are currently engaged on the perimeter of Tikrit and are preparing for a finale assult on the city.

Thanks for the update Fadi and Zaid. I wonder if the media was lying about the Irqi army collapsing last week. The USA knew about ISIS – they trained them.

They also bribed the 5 Generals who abandoned their positions up to $1 million each from a slush fund in Qatar to abandon their divisions and flee to Northern Iraq where a Green card and money awaited them.

in criminal law “supporting a crime” is equalling “committing a crime”.

It is so fascinating how western media is spinning the ISIS story. ISIS are terrorists and their support should be investigated.
But western media and politicians discuss the political consequences (Maliki, sectarianism) instead.

By doing this they accept terror as a weapon, this is very, very destructive for western society.

Some good info here about how the USA and their gulf partners are using ISIS to put Sunnis back in power in Iraq.

http://www.moonofalabama.org/

Oh and also how the “media” is trying to make it look like Iraq has collapsed to ISIS. The same thing they tried to pull in Syria saying Aleppo had fallen 20 months ago. Evil and dishonest fake journalists.

Stay strong Syrian and Iraqi people.

Most Sunnis are nice, but its not possible to give them power, as a bad one will ruin it. Power should left to Shiites and Christians and a few carefully picked Sunnis. Simple

Hmm. It’s a good thing that the Peshmerga are ready for a fight, 24/7 and 365. Everybody is assuming that all of the volunteers are Shi’ia, but are they? ISIS appears to be some bastard step child of Wahabi, and hates everybody so – – why would the Sunnis take the blame for KSA/USSA activities? If ISIS/ISIL attacked in the USSA, I wouldn’t care if the guy fighting next to me to exterminate them were Catholic, Southern Baptist, Sikh or Zoroastrian Monarchist. Maliki isn’t smart enough to call all Iraqis to defend Iraq, so the only thing that will change… Read more »

Thanks for the map, Fadi!
I have asked for it the other day because we would all like to see the “big picture” of what’s going on there (Syria-Iraq). i dont know what harira is, but maliki has nothing to do with this crisis, this is a project for breaking up the resistance axis. it is planned and implemented by the israelis ( the wahhabis are too stupid to plan so far ahead). it started in 2011 in Syria but the brave and great Syrian people of all persuasions defeated this plan all be it at great cost of life and treasure. now the defeated wahhabi army has no where to go but to Iraq. You may be right. The Saudi oil wells are old and dying like some in the House of Saud. My hope is Syria, the Iraqi people and some help from Iran destroys these ISIS gangsters. The Saudis must be desparate as the USA is already looking to pivot to Iran. Why? Saudi oil is running out. Iraq and Iran still have a lot of oil. The Saudis will probably pivot to China.

M, one comment on this map is that most of the territory under ISIS is deep desert, except for the oil fields in eastern Syria they control very little worthy cities (except Mosul by now).

You are dead right ISIS is supported by Turkey, all the way around. The Turkish people “taken” by ISIS in Mosul and reported by MSM is simply a disguise, ISIS is funded by Saudi Arabia, supported by Turkey with weapons and communications, and all of it under NATO upper management, planning, organization, staffing and the very critical US satellite use.

SAA and IAF can unite along with the Peshmerga and YPG against ISIS,but the only obstacle is the Fake Syrian Army,Iraqi Forces cannot enter Syria and engage against US lap dogs because they are already using US democracy and “allies” to the Black Sh*t in the White House(no offense to the black people),eliminate FSA and JNF then Iraq have full entry into Syria and can bring the Iran’s Jerasulem Force along with them.

Hi, Shark. I think maybe SAA has an outlook like ‘Chesty’ Puller displayed in Korea when he commanded the !st Marines. He held an officer’s call, and addressed them thus, regarding the Chinese all around them. “Gentlemen, we’ve got ’em right where we want ’em. We’re surrounded, and can attack in any direction.” At that time there was speculation as to how many hordes comprised a Chinese platoon, a situation not replicated here. ISIS supply is, probably, limited to what they can carry with them, so it’s a toss up what they’ll run short of first; POL, rations or ammunition.… Read more »

75 U.S. government scientists possibly exposed to live anthrax at CDC lab
The potential exposure occurred after researchers working in a high-level biosecurity laboratory at the agency’s Atlanta campus failed to follow proper procedures to inactivate the bacteria. They then transferred the samples, which may have contained live bacteria, to lower-security CDC labs not equipped to handle live anthrax.

So what… SAA will keep on course, and will not engage the ISIS with ground forces – the military policy has been wise so far. A few things it can do for now: Try to get any remaining militants west of the river in Dair Al-Zor city to immediately join the SAA via some rapid amnesty program. Close off the Eastern Ghouta battle. This front should be treated as a border area (similar to the Southern Front) as it is also supplied from Jordan via a rout east of the Suwaida province. Richard, your definition of ‘civil war’ is correct, though it was so defined at a more civilized time (pre-Libya) when warring parties within a country were expected to be native to that country. Today, targeted nations can be flooded with mercenaries from all over the world. That’s the reality you refuse to see. Now do me a favour, go look up the definition of INVASION!

Your ahistorical expectations aside, the Spanish Civil War of 1936-39 is a prime example of one where outside nations (USSR, Italy, Germany) were directly involved and thousands of leftist volunteers (e.g. Orwell) from around the world participated on the Republican side. ISIS’ influx of foreign fighters are a fairly close modern equivalent of yesteryear’s ‘International Brigades’.

He found an 11.1 year cycle in the number of major battles, riots, migrations, and human excitability in 72 countries going back to 500 B.C He concluded that 80% of the major events of human drama occurred during the 5 years around maximum in sunspot activity. “The maximum of human activites in correlation with the maximum of sunspot activity, expresses itself in the following: “The dissemination of different doctrines (political, religious, etc.),… Read more »

It seems the FSA has entered the final meltdown phase. Nine senior members of its Supreme Military Command resigned recently, blaming the US for bypassing them by distributing largesse to only certain select units.

Meanwhile, in Deir Ez Zorr, the last remnants of the FSA in that city have defected to ISIL, according to Alalam. This war has evolved into a black comedy.

FSA is the code name on Zero Hedge by cycnical Americans to describe Obama voters. Free Sh*t Army. Same thing with these criminal FSA thugs. They stopped getting Free Sh*t from Obama and the criminal State Depts plus USA spook agencies, ZATO and the NWO.

I really hope the Syrian army, Iraqi people/army and Iran smash and destroy these ISIL, ISIS, FSA rats backed by Turkey, Dubai, USA and Israel. The House of Saud apes must be getting worried.

As has been noted on here, the term FSA now is used when the West wants to give them something – i.e. presenting them as lucid rebels instead of rabid satanists.

Hee-Hee they have no penis CHEVI…BTW did you see this on RT- Russian CEO mocks Australia for new round of sanctions, says ‘pity not to see kangaroos’
The new wave of sanctions from ‘Down Under’ targets 50 people and 11 companies. Russia responded by calling the move “counterproductive” and blacklisted Vladimir Yakunin, head of Russian Railways, said it’s a pity he won’t see the kangaroos in the wild.

Australia’s Minister for Foreign Affairs made the matter public in a media release on the ministry’s website on Thursday. Those sanctioned will be barred visas and entry into Australia.

If we dont get this fact straight we will not understand the wars being waged in muslim lands.
1)Wahabis are NOT Sunnis,in fact they call real Sunnis grave worshippers

2)Mass media labels them Sunnis in order to dupe the ignorant.
3)Wahabis are in fact hte mercenaries of the zionist /nato /western elitist alliance.,they kill muslims ,are barbaric and in doing so tarnish the image of Islam
4)Isis is wahabi NOT Sunni
Ziad ,I hope you can emphasize these facts to your readers so they can overcome the information trap set by the zionist media.

Ziad, someone needs to straighten out this mess out. I just read an article that secular Turkish Kurds are now flocking to Syrian kurdistan (northeast Syria) to defend against an expected ISIS onslaught. I don’t get it, there’s 4 players now in Syria all fighting each other. Assad is fighting the Kurds, rebels and ISIS. The rebels are fighting Assad and ISIS and the Kurds are fighting Assad and ISIS. Lets start with Rebels VS ISIS. I thought Saudi Arabia, gulf states, CIA and Turkey were supporting both? So why are they fighting each other like some giant death match?… Read more »

This war has become so impossibly complex that I’m not sure if anybody gets it anymore. As I see it, there are six broad groups who may be fighting each other or various combinations of the others at any given time. These are (within Syria): 1. Syrian government forces. 2. Mainstream Islamic Terrorists (Nusra, islamic Front, Jaish I Islam, etc. (It is a measure of how extreme this conflict has become that there is now a distinction between mainstream terrorism and utterly lunatic terrorism.) 3. ISIS – the most extreme lunatics. 4. Self-proclaimed “moderate” (mostly fake moderates) armed opposition groups… Read more »

I don’t know about chess, but Grandmaster al-Malaki’s Mosul Gambit has written a new chapter in the history of piss-taking, rivalled in recent history only by the great SAA giveaway of 2012. Since then, this matchless military genius has taken practical joking to new extremes by saturation bombing his nation’s largest oil refinery (at Baiji) for about a week now, to remove a dozen resilient ISIS, until his chaotic airfarce is inadvertently grounded, at which point off he goes cap in hand begging the Kurds for some jet-fuel and is naturally repulsed. With this bottomless talent for self-sabotage, whichever ‘team’… Read more »

Great analysis, I think most people in Syria and the West would agree with your breakdown of the 6 fighting groups in Syria ( Syrian Gov, self-proclaimed moderate rebels, terrorists, extreme terrorists, secular Kurds, Islamic Kurds ).

Now for the real tough, extremely intriguing question we can’t get the truth from any media source, “Who is supporting those 6 conflicting sides from outside Syria, how much support is each side getting, and why are they being supported-the goal “?

No, these 5 precious ‘American’ Jafaari-jokers did not report to the UN, as they were not commissioned by it. They appeared at a press conference with Syria’s UN Ambassador, who surely paid their meal tickets from start to finish, to utter a collection of blubbered lame anecdotes, until after an hour of pain someone mercifully pulled the plug on this pathetic spectacle and they all buggered off home.

‘Useful idiots’ is the technical term, I believe.

ISIS (Israeli secret intelligence service) will attack Deir Ezzor with their new iraqi equippment, if they are able to kill General Zahareddine it would be a moral blast for the terrorists in Syria.

So expect their attack and bomb them back into stone age, the attack will come it´s just a question of when it will come!!

Though you got the track by sniffing their real hyena masters.
My impression is that the whole thing is totally exaggerated.
Those few thousands are pirates on land and a hefty bounty
on their leaders heads will lead to a ever faster crumbling

Same with the Ukraine jew-gangster conglomerated syndicate

power grabbing piratism
parasitism.

“Sunni militants who fought side-by-side to claim swathes of Iraqi territory have turned on one another in the Kirkuk province, leaving 17 dead. Sources told AFP that clashes broke out between fighters from Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS/ISIL) and the Army of the Men of the Naqshbandiyah (JRTN) on Friday evening. It is unclear what sparked the fighting, but one security official suggested it was because JRTN fighters refused to give up their weapons and swear allegiance to ISIS.”
