LATAKIA BATTLE – UPDATED MAP

The “Anfal” offensive has been stopped and the rebels are unable to progress any further. SAA is targeting the border areas near Turkey with artillery to deny rebels retreat and to disrupt any supply routs. As the same time, SAA secures important high ground near Samra and Nab’ain. Strategic Hill 45 is under firm SAA control, securing the right flank and remaining rebel positions at Mount Al-Nisr area are under heavy attack. While supply shortages are getting worse each day, rebels have continued to fight in a hostile environment where no civilians are providing any kind of support.

In the map the border crossing 45 appears as held by insurgents. Last I had read that it was recaptured by the SAA. It was lost again? Or the SAA has retired? Or it is still under SAA control? Someone knows?

The Kesab offensive had 4 purposes: 1. To delay other operations by the SAA in Qalamoun and Hims. 2. To gain a window onto the Sea so the militants can possibly acquire weapons without the aid of neighboring countries (So neighboring countries can say such weapons come from the Syrian shore). 3. Turkey wanted to open a new front where it gets rid of all excess ‘Jihadists’ on it’s south border. 4. To shut down the last western crossing between The Government of Syria and Turkey. The offensive swept rapidly and claimed the valley of Kesab but was stopped by… Read more »

All Terrorists in Lattakia can´t cause trouble in Aleppo/Homs/Damascus…so don´t worry about their attack, just hold them where they are right now… and finnish Aleppo!!!!

There’s a method to this madness of winning in reverse … 1. Neglect to guard the border, that’s Honest Erdogan’s job 2. Act surprised and retreat in disarray when enemy invades 3. Beat chest in shock, loudly promise to repel invaders within one week 4. After a month of heavy losses, settle down to blindly lobbing artillery across the new frontier inside own country 5. Phone Putin begging for more boatloads of expired shells, complain about the Perfidious Turk 6. Promote several Generals for competence beyond the call of duty 7. Celebrate another flawless SAA victory! 8. Rinse and repeat… Read more »

Mentat- i await your opinions/comments as they are done in a civil way and they give food for thought. In this case, however, the acquired turf was very expensive for(as Turkey calls them Citizen Soldiers)in terms of blood and for what.

They may find new careers as wood choppers and forest rangers.I gave you a thumbs up.

Ariston, see wikimapia below, the scale is 1km for this shot and you will see the rats are still holding anywhere between 1 and 4 kms from the border of Turkey at the Kesab district (the bigger yellow district when you move the arrow). As of area, I have no idea but it is negligible, honestly. Hope this helps.

Maps are extremely appreciated.
Thanks Ziad, please would you mind do the same for the entire Syria and for the Damascus, Aleppo and Homs (and switch to another city when Homs will fall all under control of SAA/NDF)

As promised by US/Israel:

1. Putin’s Russia must be prevented from reintegrating Ukraine to their Motherland.
2. Iran’s nuke energy must be stopped at all costs.
3. Sabotage China’s economy to maintain US hegemony in Asia.
4. Recruit more jihadists to fight Assad’s army.

Shalom and Shalom!

Isabella – 100% right.

That’s what always annoys me too – they are wahhabi terrorists and not rebels.

Thanks for the update.Ie one clicks on the map then it expands and it is very clear.Fadi in kilometers, miles–
what is the deepest penetration? Also if nothing is critical and most residents are safe-would it not be a wise thing just to bomb away an-if they can’t get resupplied-let them wither away? Thanks

I know it sounds simple–and i’m sure there is more to it……

This is great, maps are always welcome. Impressive performance by the SAA/NDF, blocked their attack and now it is on the offensive, very few kms left between Syria and Turkey, the mop up may take a while but the rat offesive is now a joke of defensive play. thank you

What angers me most:

ErDOGan fully supports these terrorist scums and seems to get away with it.
This makes me so furious!

I mean since the beginning of this imposed terror war he actively and openly supports these rats.
I wish Iran and Syria would bomb the Turkish positions on the border.

May ErDODan burn in hell.

Ali.
