FLAG OF THE SYRIAN ARAB REPUBLIC RAISED IN YABROOD;

The flag of the Syrian Arab Republic is hoisted over Yabrood.

Huge demonstration in Mukharram and Al-Manzool (Homs) supporting the Syrian Arab Army after its victory in Yabrood.

The Syrian Army has arrived at Ra`s Al-‘Ayn and reports are coming in that the rats are fleeing Rankoos using unorthodox routes into the Lebanon.  But they are not getting a nice reception across the border as even citizens of ‘Arsaal, who are normally sympathetic to their cause, are expressing dismay at the large number of wounded and the even larger number of brutish-looking, bearded criminals now eying Lebanon’s wealth.

We predict that Ra`s Al-‘Ayn will take no more than 24 hours to delouse and that Rankoos will go down even faster.  We can confirm that a tunnel dug under the former town was blown up by SAA engineers and all rats hiding inside were killed.  No details yet.

Awesome update! brings a tear to my eye. A couple interesting links:

Some snippets in the wake of yabroud. Qatar is getting isolated. The fall of yabroud will likely lead to more infighting due to lack of direction for the savages:

Hey Leith!

Sorry, but that is not a Kornet you have there. It looks like an AT-4 or AT-5.
I can’t tell… but not a Kornet, nor a Metis – both are very very very similar-looking.
Which is why I know it’s neither of those.

Ziad, you are a great man, really, but in terms of military you seem not to be very knowledgeable. As CTT noted, the rear of AT-5 (and AT-4) are bulged, but a Kornet ATGM doesn’t have any bulges. Just look it up on Wikipedia. SERIOUSLY, it’s so obvious… please DO look it up 😉 And Syria has probably THOUSANDS of Kornets, although I wouldn’t say it’s the most prominent system yet. And it’s not necessary to use these expensive missiles against a jeep. PS: The one who “disliked” me – you gave me a negative rating bcs I spoke the… Read more »

It matters to me because I want to spread consciousness.
As I excel only at Soviet/Russian weapons, this is my contribution to you.
It was meant not as critique but simply as correction.
I don’t see a reason why you guys would not like me for that.
I am very much pro-Assad and wish that Syria gets back Golan.

Drive on, SAA! Guerillas are taking ‘unorthodox routes’ into Lebanon? Maybe if the Lebanese aremy would worry more about the quality of their guests than they do about the crease in their trousers or shine on their boots they could shortstop some of the thugs. A dead rat is a good rat, but the live ones will occuppy their time in looting Lebanon and going back to Syria for another round of rob, rape, loot, burn and plunder. Hizbollah is reliable, but they’re stretced thin enough as it is. Get off your dead ends, Lebanese Army.

Who cares about the type of bazooka. That was a classic picture and deserves to be in the National Geographic as pic of the year…….Been coming here for over a YEAR and all we’ve been getting is advances from the SAA. This isn’t propaganda as its been corroborated eventually on other media like Zero Hedge even grudgingly on BBC and other 100% owned outlets. Here in London I’ve been publicising this site, and others such as Land Destroyer, Counterpunch and Stop Imperialism as widely as possible via regular means such as physical posters and graffiti. Kids stop and take pictures… Read more »

How well have sanctions worked on Iran? After 3 years of funding, and arming Israeli Zionist Wahabis, you really think Syria could give a shit about you? “we will cancel and stop all relations with Syria” The US is only cornering itsel’f like it always does . Take all the sanctions you conjure up and stick them straight back up your ass. Just like the sanctions you plan to hit Russia with. . Obama is a joke, our elected “officials” are a bigger joke. And for the most part American government has become the laughing stock of the world. .… Read more »

Israel bombs Syrian posts over Golan attack on its troops
http://voiceofrussia.com/news/2014_03_19/Israel-bombs-Syrian-posts-over-Golan-attack-on-its-troops-3006/

“Israel attacked several Syrian military sites on Wednesday in retaliation for a roadside bombing that wounded four of its troops on the occupied Golan Heights on Tuesday, the Israeli military said.

It said targets included a Syrian military headquarters, a training facility and artillery batteries. Lieutenant-Colonel Peter Lerner, an Israeli military spokesman, said aircraft carried out the overnight strike. He described targets as military facilities on the Syrian-held side of the Golan.”

Israeli claims, therefore still unconfirmed.

ABout the Kornet. Ziad.. yeah .. No question the Syrian army have a full stock of them many hundreds if not thousands of them ..including Iranian copies.. but what another told is true.. you dont need a kornet to defeat a jeep or terrorist house ,is not cost effective. There are many other missiles that can do the job while saving money.. What the Syrian army needs to get are the new ones..(not the kornet -E) that hezbolah used against Israel.. but the next generation Kornets-D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6RDNz6dlXQ They can penetrate 1300mm armor after ERA protection ,NO tank in the world… Read more »

Ziad,

What really happened to Syrian air defense systems? The Israelis have been attacking Syria repeatedly. It’s not good sign at all. What are the Russians doing? Where is the deterrence promised by Lavrov?

US decision to shut Syrian embassy is worrying and dissapointing – Russia http://voiceofrussia.com/news/2014_03_19/Russia-concerned-over-US-decision-to-halt-diplomatic-mission-in-Syria-6110/ “Russia’s Foreign Ministry has voiced its concern over America’s decision to temporarily shut the US embassy in Damascus, but added this move did not affect the presence of Syria’s permanent mission in the United Nation’s New York City headquarters. “We are worried and disappointed by the decision of the United States, which runs counter to the previous agreement between Moscow and Washington to jointly push for a peace settlement of the Syrian crisis in the framework of the Geneva Communique of 30 June 2012 through persevering cooperation… Read more »
