SYRIAN AMERICAN FORUM TOUR DE FORCE AS AMBASSADOR JAAFARI LAYS OUT THE WAR CRIMES; GRAND MUFTI HASSOON AND DEPUTY PATRIARCH LOUQAA CHAMPION TOLERANCE AND FRATERNITY; NEWS AND COMMENTARY

It was to start at 4:00 p.m. but because Dr. Jaafari’s travel connections delayed him, the affair did not start until 5:30 p.m. after Dr. Jaafari had landed and passed through the usual post-9-11 unpleasantness’s. Luckily, many friends were in attendance so I wasn’t left to doze off in the lobby of the Burton Manor.

There were 4 speakers.  The first speech was delivered by Ousama Seblani, Editor in Chief of the Arab-American News (Sada Al-Watan).  It was meant to be rousing and the audience clapped numerous times to the triumphant and adulatory cadences depicting the courageous Syrian Army, people and, of course, President Bashar Al-Assad.

The second speaker was piped in from Damascus through Skype.  He was the Patriarchal Vicar Archibishop of Saydnaaya, His Eminence Louka Al-Khouri.  His speech was imbued with deep affection for the Syrian people and even deeper understanding of the travails to which they were being subjected in this day.  He discussed the situation in Ma’loolaa, the kidnapped nuns in Yabrood and the on-going SAA operation in ‘Adraa Workers’ Residences.  Incidentally, the audience was mixed with many Sunnis, Shi’is and Christians from Lebanon, Syria and Palestine.

On a split screen, we then had the chance to listen to a true champion of religious tolerance, His Eminence, the Grand Mufti of Syria,  Al-Shaykh Ahmad Badreddeen Hassoon.  In the tradition of laureled Sufis like our beloved Shaykh Al-Bouti who was murdered by terrorists this year while conducting classes at the Al-Iman Mosque, Shaykh Hassoon exuded understanding and fraternity.  He exhorted all Syrians to remember their country and to work hard to help it during these most troubling of times.

After some questions from the audience directed at the two clergymen, Dr. Jaafari took the floor and gave a preliminary talk about the situation at the U.N. and the overall atmosphere in the shadow of the upcoming conference in Switzerland.  He made some important points before he opened the floor for questions.

One point I believe will be of importance to readers is the unprecedented number of documented facts concerning foreign involvement in Syria’s internal affairs.  Dr. Jaafari brought a sample of over 500 separate memoranda directed to Secretary General Ban by him and his staff on the number of foreign terrorists either killed or in custody in Syria.  The lists were substantial and included not only the names of the rodents, but, the names of their fathers and mothers among other relevant details.  The fact that there were over 500 separate communications with the SG was made all the more remarkable by Jaafari’s assertion that most ambassadors to the U.N. don’t send more than 5 memos to the SG during any 5 years of their tenure.  It was clear to SyrPer that the Syrian government was setting up a legal case against the criminals in Riyadh, Doha, Washington D.C., Paris, Amman, Ankara and London,, inter alia.

Dr. Jaafari spoke for some time.  It was his intention not to address the audience in a long-winded way so as to introduce a “Town Hall” format.  However, in the tradition of his ancestors and mine, he still could not but expatiate at length about a sundry list of issues before the floor was opened up for audience participation.  It was worth it, nonetheless.

I think this was a tour de force for the Syrian-American Forum.  The appearance in Los Angeles was evidently very successful and so it was here in the Detroit area.  It has become clear to me from the statistics we provide and the facts coming from personages like the ambassador and the two clergymen, that we are winning and more quickly than you think.  ZAF

DAYR EL-ZOR:

A risibly inept operation by ISIS at the military airbase just southwest of Dayr El-Zor went oh-so-awfully wrong when the approach was picked up by local informants before the rodents got within 25 miles of the base.  It was glorious.  NDF were called in from the city to buttress the defenses.

Via Wikimapia: http://wikimapia.org/#lang=en&lat=35.287036&lon=40.184469&z=14&m=b

The base commandant ordered all aircraft either inside reinforced hangars or into the air to handle the developing situation.  When Syria’s MiG23s identified the rodent group as ISIS (their flags gave it all away) and their number, (around 200), they strafed them pitilessly.  The number dead is now at 38 and rising.  No names, yet.

I’ll try to get the detailed news to you tomorrow morning.

TO ALL MY READERS:  HAPPY NEW YEAR AND VICTORY IN ALL OF NATURAL SYRIA.  MAY THE ZIONIST BE DRIVEN FROM THE LAND.  ZAF

Hello Mr. Ziad, I thought I would never see the day, where I would see good news coming out of Los Angeles. How long before the Syrian tanks roll into Amman then Mecca? Here’s the latest after ONE day Bandar gives $3 Billion to the Lebanese. Third bomb has gone off by the way. Day After Saudi Arabia Gives Record $3 Billion To Lebanese Army, Lebanese Troops Fire At Syrian Warplanes http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-12-30/day-after-saudi-arabia-gives-record-3-billion-lebanese-army-lebanese-troops-fire-syr They aren’t using slingshots either. The French government is ready to supply the Lebs with surface to air missiles. The only question is whether this time Putin, instead… Read more »

Thanks. The French anti-aircraft system is as bad as the Lebanese military . They’re probably going to send them some old Crotale-Shaheens. Useless. Just like Michel Sulayman. Ziad

This is CHOICE political game playing. US offers a helping hand to “secure” the Olympics in #Russia.

So touching. What a nice gesture. I mean, while your Saudi ape allies are fomenting the discord, you pretend to be disassociated. Just like Lebanon’s policy. Yawn. What a joke. Ziad

This made my blood boil ! Retards can fire on Syrian aircraft but cant fire on Israeli aircraft ? Maybe this had something to do with the Saudi promise of a 3 billion package for the Lebanese army and they decided to fire off their bb guns to please the Saudi monkeys

It’s French technology. It won’t make any difference. By the time the Lebs get this package, who knows, maybe Palestine will be liberated. Ziad

Hello Ziad, we wish you a happy new year to you and all your family, now here’s a classic, the observatory which is aligned with the terrorists is now being threatened, when will they learn.

http://sana.sy/eng/21/2013/12/30/520148.htm

How will Russia respond to bandars threats which are coming to light?, and now the lebanese president is praising the saudi scum, so much for being partial.

I’m still wiping my eyes from laughing too hard. He’s so pathetic. A liar and a pervert. SOHR has no sources in Syria and his story is made up to make it seem that he’s on the right side. Sure. Happy New Year to everyone. Ziad

The NY Times kind-of-sort-of admits it was wrong that Syria was the one responsible for the chemical attacks.
