FIRST POST – AUGUST 4, 2012 – MASSIVE VICTORY FOR SYRIA AT U.N. GENERAL ASSEMBLY

AUGUST 4, 2012 – FIRST POST:

MASSIVE SYRIAN TRIUMPH AT U.N. GENERAL ASSEMBLY

DISASTER FOR SAUDI ARABIAN APES:

SYRIAN PERSPECTIVE CONGRATULATES DR. BASHAR AL-JAAFARI, SYRIA’S U.N. AMBASSADOR

SYRIAN PERSPECTIVE WAS CORRECT IN ITS PREDICTION THAT THE SAUDI RESOLUTION WOULD BE VERY CLOSE

HALF THE POPULATION OF THE WORLD REJECTS SAUDI SHENANIGANS

The countries which did not vote in favor of the Saudi non-binding resolution at the U.N. equal over 3,437,294,000 which is more than half the population of the world.  Even if you take the number of countries voting and figure in useless members like Luxembourg or Togo, you can never deny the hard facts:  The Syrian government’s position was vindicated in a stunning demonstration of independent voting at the U.N.

Despite American bully-boy tactics. China and Russia stuck to principle and were aided by India’s and Pakistan’s abstentions which shot the Saudi initiative out of the water and back into the Ape Exhibit at the Riyadh National Zoo.

Dr. Bashar Al-Jaafari projects a smooth diplomatic and legal style at the U.N.

Congratulations must also go to the Chinese delegation with its unbending adherence to principle and policy.  And with Russia’s slick manipulation of power and ethics,  the Syrian vote came a cropper for the miserable and hypocritical Arabians.

Here’s how the vote went:

Against the Resolution:                           Population:

Belarus                                                  9,458,000
Bolivia                                                  10,426,154
Cuba                                                    11,247,925
China                                               1,347,350,000
Ecuador                                                14,483,499
Iran                                                       75,149,669
Nicaragua                                                5,815,524
North Korea                                          24,554,000
Russian Federation                               143,117,000
Syria                                                      21,686,000
Venezuela                                              27,150,095
Zimbabwe                                              13,014,000
____________________________________________

And if you take the countries which abstained, i.e. did not vote to support the resolution you have:

India, Pakistan, Vietnam, Myanmar, Tanzania, Algeria, Uganda, Nepal, Ghana, Madagascar, Angola, Sri Lanka, Cameroon, Kazakhstan, Mali,  Burundi, Laos, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Armenia, Namibia, Fiji, St. Vincent, Suriname, Tuvalu, Antigua, Eritrea, Lesotho, St. Lucia, Grenadines, Samoa, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands.

THANKS AGAIN TO THE RUSSIAN BEAR AND THE CHINESE DRAGON

Not sure why you claiming victory. All Syria’s neighbours either voted for or abstained, none voted against. I cannot believe Iraq voted for the resolution.
